Investors from USA, China and South Korea are interested in Slovakia

Slovakia seeks to obtain investment from American manufacturer of electric cars Tesla Motors which plans to build its factory in Europe. The investment agency of the Slovak government – SARIO – introduced investment incentives to the potential investor. According to earlier information, the Czech Republic also showed interest in Tesla.

Another investment heading to Slovakia is from China. China South Rail Group and its subsidiary company Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co., Ltd. plan to expand their activities in Slovakia. The companies are planning to build-up a new production hall, warehouse and office space. It is expected that the investment will bring at least 400 new jobs.

Finally, South Korea also wants to invest in Slovakia. Samsung Electronics plans to spend 14.7 billion USD to build a new microchip factory. The plant should be completed in the second half of 2017. Samsung Electronics already operates in Slovakia through the Samsung Electronics Slovakia. It has the largest factory of LED TVs in Europe in the town of Galanta.
